How to Hire Staff in Your District Quickly: A Guide for Tamil Nadu Employers
Sign in with your phone, post a job with a clear title, real salary and exact location for your district, then call applicants quickly. Posting is free now.
If you run a shop, clinic, school, workshop or office in Tamil Nadu, the best person for an opening often lives within a few kilometres of you. They are more likely to come on time, stay longer and accept a fair local salary. The hard part is reaching them. This guide shows how to post a job on Tamizha Jobs, how to write a post that brings the right applicants, and how to move from applications to a hire quickly.
How do I post a job on Tamizha Jobs?
- Sign in as an employer with your mobile number. You get a one-time password (OTP) by SMS; there is no password to set up. You can sign in and post a job here, or use the Android app.
- Fill in the job details: title, description, city or area, district, job type, work mode and salary.
- Publish. The job appears on Tamizha Jobs, in search and on your district's job page, such as jobs in Coimbatore or jobs in Tiruchirappalli.
At the time of writing (October 2026), posting a job is free. If paid listing plans are switched on later, you will see the plan, how many days the job stays live and the price before you publish.
What should a good job post include?
Job seekers decide in a few seconds whether to open your job, and then whether to apply. Give them the facts they are looking for.
A clear, specific title. Use the words a job seeker would type: "Two-Wheeler Delivery Executive", "Billing Staff for Supermarket", "Telecaller (Tamil)". Avoid vague titles like "Urgent Requirement" or "Staff Wanted". These do not tell anyone what the job is.
The right place. Enter the town or area where the person will actually work, and pick the district. If you can take people from more than one district, you can select several districts, or all of Tamil Nadu for roles that can be done from anywhere.
Job type and work mode. Mark it full time, part time or internship, and onsite or remote. Job seekers filter by these, so getting them right puts your job in front of the right people.
The salary. Enter a fixed monthly amount or a range. Job seekers compare jobs by pay, and the salary is one of the first things shown on a job card. A real figure is more likely to get a serious applicant to open your job than "Negotiable".
Optional details, used carefully. You can add a preferred qualification, the skills you want, and an age range or gender. Add these only if the job truly needs them. Every extra condition shrinks the pool of people who can see and apply for your job.
How do I write the job description?
The description box holds up to 500 characters, so make every line count. A simple structure works well:
- What the person will do, in one or two sentences.
- Must-haves, such as a driving licence, typing speed, basic English or the ability to use a billing system.
- Timings and working days, for example "9:30 am to 7 pm, Monday to Saturday".
- Anything else that matters: food or accommodation provided, incentives, travel allowance, uniform, training.
For example:
Handle billing and customer queries at our supermarket in Gandhipuram. Must know basic computer use and speak Tamil. Freshers welcome; we will train you. Timings 9 am to 9 pm with a lunch break, one weekly off. Food provided.
That is short, specific and honest about the hours. It will put off people who cannot do those timings, which saves you interviews.
Who will see my job?
Your job is listed on the website, in job search and on your district's job page, and in the job feed of the Tamizha Jobs Android app. The app's feed starts with jobs near each job seeker's home district and preferred locations, so a job posted for your district reaches local job seekers first.
When a job is published, job seekers who use the app in the matching districts can also receive a notification about it.
How do I manage applicants?
Applications collect in your employer account. In the app you can:
- see the list of applicants for each job
- open an applicant's profile, which shows details such as their district, age, the job they are looking for, experience and expected salary, and a resume if they uploaded one
- call or WhatsApp the applicant directly from their profile
- accept or reject each application, so the job seeker knows where they stand
Some applicants apply through the website's quick-apply form, which asks only for name, age, gender, district and phone number. Their profiles are shorter, so a quick phone call is the best way to learn more.
How can I hire faster?
- Call promptly. The applicants who apply first are often actively looking and may take another offer within days.
- Shortlist on the must-haves. Use a two-minute phone call to check the deal-breakers (location, timings, salary expectation, licence or skill) before you invite anyone for an interview.
- Give exact interview details: address, a landmark, the time, whom to ask for, and what to bring.
- Update applicants. Mark people as accepted or rejected so they are not left waiting.
- Renew instead of reposting. A job stays live for its listing period and then expires. If you are still hiring, renew the expired job from your account.
What should I avoid?
- Do not charge applicants anything. Never ask job seekers for a registration fee, deposit or "training charge". Genuine job seekers are told never to pay for a job, so asking for money drives good candidates away.
- Do not post a job that does not exist to collect phone numbers. It wastes job seekers' time, and they can report such listings to us.
- Do not hide the real location or timings. If people discover them only at the interview, most will walk away, and you have lost a day.
